AI integrated e-commerce platform Spwig
Another wee side project I’m working on is an e-commerce platform. I’m tired of paying for subscriptions, plugins that break and slow my store down and wanted to build something that I would use and offer it out at a good FIXED price. I’m not greedy.

So I started developing http://spwig.com and all included, one time fixed price, AI integrated e-commerce platform.
Without wanting to sound like a marketing post, I am pretty proud of how things are coming along and wanted to share the progress.
Right now I’m in the midst of building the admin backend making sure it’s super tight, super fast and makes a merchants life easy. After all, I run my own online store https://cocosbotanica.com and I know the pain points all too well.
So far, I’ve developed a built in AI translation microservice that allows merchants to quickly and easily translate their front end pages, products and categories to serve the markets they are targeting in their own language. Merchants can also use external translation providers like Azure, Amazon, DeepL, Google and a few more reliable providers.
I’ve also created a powerful page builder, making it really easy to design pages and templates, with drag and drop, easy tools for inline styling and live previews of changes. I plan to integrate AI here also to allow merchants to simply describe the design and have the pages prebuilt for them. Pretty cool right.
I’ve finished the theme system, it’s easy to brand your store with your own colors, typography, styles and choose pre built themes to get merchants up and running quickly.
I’m now speaking to shipping companies to integrate their APIs to make shipping, tracking, returns, label printing a breeze. Shipping is such a bitch in every platform I’ve used bar none so this is a big focus of mine.
I’ve also laid foundations for integrating popular marketing tools like Mailchimp, Moosend, Hubspot and more.
Payment gateways of course capture the majors for now with a few buy now pay later services being baked in as options.
The key is to make the shopper experience simple and helpful, make the merchant experience intuitive and quick while keeping the platform lightning fast, avoiding the bloat and ensuring it’s a one time cost to the merchant at little more than the cost of a plugin. Subscriptions suck.
That’s it. I’ll post a bit more about progress over the next few weeks but do check out the link and enter your email to get notified as we get closer to launching - Target Jan 2026.
